Prisma AIRS Inline Interception Lab Architecture
Technical specifications for Palo Alto Networks Prisma AIRS runtime interception were formalized under /research/palo/. The live lab runbook defines an inline gateway architecture, establishing JSON request-routing patterns that standardize upstream service communication across all intercepted endpoints.
Error Taxonomy & Control Mapping
An HTTP 400–502 inspection event taxonomy was codified alongside control mappings aligned with NIST AI RMF and SOC 2 frameworks. Each inspection class (malformed request, rate-limited upstream, timeout cascade) is mapped to a remediation workflow and an escalation threshold.
Machine-Readable Endpoints
Accompanying discovery endpoints were deployed under the /research/palo/ prefix:
/research/palo/index.html— human-readable lab entry point/research/palo/index.json— machine-parseable catalog of interception endpoints and their schemas/research/palo/notes.txt— raw plain-text field notes for quick reference without HTML rendering overhead
All three are linked into the global research catalog. Deployment is gated on API credential provisioning from Palo Alto Networks before automated test sweeps can begin.
