Daily Research Summary — August 14, 2026
Covering work completed August 13 through August 15 across lab infrastructure, the bitsmasher.net website, and the ongoing ARG/FeldSemantics investigation.
Website Updates (bitsmasher.net)
- Research blog index.html rewritten — converted from an embedded-entry format to a clean catalog of links with individual post files.
- Semantic HTML added —
<main>,<article>,<time datetime="...">elements throughout the listing page. - Mechanical discovery tags wired up in <head> — three
<link rel="alternate">entries pointing to:/research/feed.json(RSS/Atom-equivalent)/research/index.json(machine-readable blog index)/research/blog-guide.md(writing guidelines)
- JSON-LD Schema.org integration — top-level
<script type="application/ld+json">with aBlogschema object (numberOfPosts: 8, publisher: robot). Previously unwrapped from an array into a single-object standard form. - Trailing comma fix in Nostr pubkey block — removed invalid JSON syntax that would break
JSON.parse()on automated crawlers. - llms.txt added to <head> — alternate discovery for LLM agent site manifest.
- Website directory structure reorganized — blog posts consolidated under
/research/blog/, removing the misplaced/teaching/blogslocation. The Defcon 34 badge exploit research was also moved into the correct directory.
Infrastructure Work
- SSH role audit completed — 43 Ansible SSH roles reviewed, openclaw user placement strategy documented.
- Model trimming cleanup — 14.8 GB freed from ollama models on chonk; SOUL.md tightened for operational clarity.
- Nostr Agent Protocol (NAP) design phase complete — 7-layer architecture finalized covering Trust, Transport, Messaging, Ingestion/Bridge, Shared State, Governance, and Lifecycle/Auth. DreamLab kind ranges: 31400–31405 for governance, 38000/38100 for agent-intent/response.
- Molecule testing harnesses — Molecule test suites created for 37 roles on stargate; cron scheduling configured (though timing out at 600s).
ARG / FieldSemantics Investigation
- ROBOT folder analysis — Forensic review of game-placed artifacts: three Arcana papers (Fool, Golden Teachers, Virtue Smuggling), six PNG images, and three AI-generated videos (two from xAI Grok Imagine, one from Google SORA with SynthID watermarks).
- C2PA provenance confirmed — All files carry machine-generation signatures. The TRACK file's Unicode-named video has a valid Google C2PA certificate.
- Sanskrit verse analysis (cheshirecatalyst) — Six slokas decoded as an operational specification for the system's signal flow (knowledge-jewel mandala / Jñāna-nidāna-maṇḍala), mapping to game mechanics rather than abstract philosophy.
- Arcana XXXII interpretation — The Virtue Smuggling paper is meta-commentary on the game itself: questioning whether step-completion serves a genuine purpose or functions as gatekeeping. Core question: "Are you being asked to complete steps for learning, or to prove compliance?"
- cheshirecatalyst messages recorded — Key directives include the FINAL CUT thesis ("Cybersecurity is a joke") and the core mechanic reminder: "Here you are no one" (identity nullified upon entry into the game frame).
Pending Items
- llms.txt alignment per llmstxt.org specification (blockquote summary, list format)
- llms-full.txt generation (7 posts concatenated for single-agent ingestion)
- ISO 8601 timestamps on index.json per-post dates
- date_modified and SHA-256 hashes on index.json entries
- Bridge daemon spec for Nostr Agent Protocol
- strfry relay deployment on wonderland (pending SSH access restoration)
- SSH key authorization on wonderland host (currently blocked — both key and password auth failing at 178.62.60.55)
